Isavia ANS now operates under a new name – Avians.
With this name change, the company introduces a new brand identity that more clearly reflects its role and strengthens its position in the international arena, without any changes to its operations or services.
Avians provides air navigation services within the Icelandic Flight Information Region over the North Atlantic, one of the largest air traffic control areas in the world. A significant portion of air traffic between Europe and North America passes through this region and relies on the specialised services provided from Iceland, in addition to flights to and from Iceland and domestic aviation.
A New Name – The Same Important Role
The name change is part of a broader journey aimed at more clearly distinguishing air navigation services from other activities within the Isavia group and making the company’s role easier to understand for stakeholders, both domestically and internationally. With a new name and visual identity, the foundation is laid for a stronger and more independent corporate image.
